In the beginning

In 2008 a group of teachers from  the Netherlands, led by Rubina Boasman visited the University of East London (UEL). During this visit there was a group discussion on diversity policy and the training of ethnic minority students at UEL.  The visitors were particularly interested in reducing drop out and increasing the retention of ethnic minority students studying to become teachers.
